Mermaid "In the Works"

This is another painting that is in "the works". I still need to paint details and then add "Glow in the Dark" paint . I really need to get my butt In gear and finsh all the paintings that I have started.

Moose "in the works"

This painting is 3 feet by 4 feet.
I wanted to show the progression of the painting because it will look very different when its done.
Right now its just the basic starting point.
I cant wait to finish it because I already see in my mind what it will look like when its done.

Hello

This is another piece of Art that I did this year

It is part of my "Recycled" Series

It is painted on a cabinet door sample from a Kitchen Design Center that I work at.

The door is a style that is no longer offered so instead of throwing the door away I thought it would be a great idea to paint on it !

So now the picture looks like it's already framed !

This is a Stone Mosaic that I did this past winter. There are over 4,500 pieces of stone in this 24" x 24" piece.

Well its just another day.....
struggling with the idea of becoming a full time artist.
How did other people do it ????
any ideas out there ?????

It's me 1 year older now

Just a quick note while at work......
gas..... I know everyone is feeling the prices
I'm here in Maine
Its hard enough to survive , everything is so expensive compared to the average income
Plus in most places there isnt public transportation then heating in the long winter months
fuel for plowing roads so they are passable in winter
Soon enough I feel a very large population of Maine residents wont be able to survive here
Its very unsettling........
Well, thats my thought out loud today

Monday Already ????

Weekends go by sooo fast, working all week and then on weekends trying to play "catch up" on things I didnt have time to do during the week.

1st time for everything

Well as they say there is a first time for everything and this is my first blog. I'm a full time designer and mom. My goal is to be a full time ARTIST someday. So I'm plugging along to my goal any spare moment I can get. So I will add stuff here and there and will eventually get more involved as I go. Thats my super quick thought of the day.
